I got it for my 8 year old daughter. She plays it more than any other game we have. Us adults like it too and enjoy playing it with her. You do not need the accessories kit but they could be fun i guess if you did have them. Good luck! It's money well spent I promise! One more thing, it's very easy for children to understand too.
